I was't doing the Science Jounal (This) untile now! But we had finished the chapter,so I will write a summery of what the Chapter is about.
Section 1
Basicly, Section 1 is talking about how the immune system fight aginst pathogens (harmful substances and all types of diseas-causing organisms). It
include the first-line defenses and specific immunity which include active and passive immunity.The first-line defenses are skin, respiratiory system,
irculatory system and digestive sysem. The skin prevents many pathogens from entering your body. Your skin produce perspiration and the oil gland on
your skin produce oil, the acidic substances kill some pathogens on your skin because they can't live in this environment. In your repiratory system, a
hair-like structure called cila traps the pathogen and a liqid substances, mucus are produce to destory the pathogens' cell walls. Saliva, enzymes,
hydrochloric acid and mucus are the first-line defences in your digestive system.
